Traditional Tofu with Korean soy sauce

This is the easy, fast and healthy recipe that everyone can enjoy!

You don’t need to use any cooking utencil since all you need is a microwave!

Ingredients
  • 1/3 package of PH Food’s soft tofu

  • 3 tbls of soy sauce

  • Sesame oil (1Tsp), Hot pepper flakes (1Tsp),

  • Chopped green onion (2Tsp)

Directions
  1. Microwave the soft tofu for 3 minutes.
  2. Drain the water, and place it on a plate.
  3. Slice the tofu about 1cm wide.
  4. Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil and the hot pepper flakes. (Sauce)
  5. Garnish with Green onions, Serve while hot

Panfried Tofu in soy sauce

Squares of Pan Fried tofu are full of health and high on flavor.

Try serving them with salads. The chewy texture of the tofu works well with crunchy greens. Pan Fried tofu squares are also perfect as a quick snack. Who says healthy meals don’t taste good?  It’s so simple,

so delicious!

Ingredients
  • 1/3 package of PH Food’s extra firm tofu
  • 3 tbls of soy sauce

  • 1~2 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)

  • 1 teaspoon of corn syrup (can be substituted with honey or sugar)

  • Optional: finely chopped green onions and black sesame seeds for garnish

Directions

  1. Slice tofu into about 1.5 inch thick rectangles, use paper towels to absorb any extra liquid.

  2. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic and corn syrup and whisk, set aside.

  3. Heat a pan with 1 to 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil.  Add the tofu and lower the heat (medium-low heat). Cook for about 5~7 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

  4. Add the mixture of minced garlic, soy sauce and corn syrup to the pan. Stir tofu with sauce to caramelize the tofu.

  5. Turn the heat off and transfer the tofu to a plate.

  6. Garnish with sesame seeds, and chopped green onions to taste before serving.
