Pan Fried Mandoo (dumplings)

Fried dumplings are enjoyed by many asians, as a quick snack, appetizer or tasty main dish itself. No need to defrost, you can just pan-fry the frozen PH dumplings and enjoy them quick and easy, paired with soy sauce.

Ingredients
  • PH Food’s frozen dumplings – 10 pcs (200g) : any PH Food’s chicken/pork/beef/shrimp/vegetable dumplings, 5 Tsp vegetable/cooking oil

  • (Dipping Sauce)

  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon of fine red pepper flakes (or powder)

Directions
  1. In a large skillet with a tight fitting lid, heat the vegetable/cooking oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place as many of the dumplings that can fit without touching in the skillet with the pleated-wrapper edge up. Cook the dumplings for 3 minutes, or until nicely browned on the bottom.
  2. Flip the dumplings so other sides can be cooked for another 2 minutes.

  3. Serve on the side with dipping sauce.

Steamed Dumplings

Dumpling Soup, made with your favourite broth such as beef, vegetable, anchovy stock, can be enjoyed in various ways by adding udon noodle, sliced rice cakes, vegetables, etc. Dumpling soup with sliced rice cake (Dduck Mandoo Gook) is a traditional dish in Korea, usually eaten on the new years day.

Ingredients
  • Frozen any PH Food’s dumplings – about 10 pieces (depends on the size of the steam pot), 5 Tsp of soy sauce, 1 Tsp of vinegar, 1 tsp of hot pepper flakes

Directions
  1. Place dumplings side by side into a steam pot and allow them to steam for 5 minutes over a high setting. (Make sure the dumplings are not touching each other)

  2. Serve with sauce (soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper)

Dumpling Soup

If you love to enjoy the dumplings in the simplest way, you can simply steam them in a steam pot. You can pair them with your favourite sauce, like soy sauce, Asian hot sauce, sweet and sour sauce, curry, cheese dipping, or even tomato marinara sauce

Prep Time : 1 min
Cook Time : 10 min
Total Time : 11 min
Ingredients
  • Frozen any PH Food’s dumplings – about 10 pieces (depends on the size of the steam pot),  Any kinds of broth – vegetable stock, beef stock, chicken stock, or anchovi stock, 1 egg – raw & scrambled, 1Tsp of Chopped green onion, Black pepper, Salt to tast

Directions
  1. Place dumplings into any kind of boiling soup broth (see Dduck-Gook /Rice Cake Soup recipe for details), and cook about 5 minutes.

  2. Add the green onions and scoop spoonfuls of the raw scrambled eggs into the soup. 

  3. Continue to boil for 1 more minutes and turn off the heat.

  4. Serve in a bowl and enjoy!
